Summer vacation is over, the kids are back in school, and here at TLDG, our thoughts turn to fall. It requires a bit of imagination to switch into autumn mode here in Florida, (the chill in the air is distinctly lacking…) but we’re bringing out the autumn leaves, mums and pumpkins anyway. The dog days of summer are behind us and were excited about what’s in store for this season.
For starters, we’ll have a gorgeous collection of glass pumpkins from Cohn-Stone Studios in California. A perennial gallery favorite, and always a sell-out, stop in early to get the pick of the pumpkin crop. We have gorgeous jewel-toned gourds from Victor Chiarizia, perky little pumpkin paperweights from Anchor Bend Glass, and even glass leaves to decorate your autumnal environs. If pumpkins aren’t your thing, check out our fantastic giant glass fruit, which never go out of season.
Fall brings the annual return of the Linnea Poster Calendar, and 2013 does not disappoint. Graphic and gorgeous, it’s up on the wall and ready for gift-giving.
On a more personal note, this fall marks the forth year for our terrific Manager, Tara Morgan, as well as one year for our Sales Associate, Emily Miller. Great job, ladies! It’s fun to work with you.
October also marks a special birthday–Argus, our beloved mascot, will be eight on the 30th. As many of you know, this year has been a tough one for him, as he’s battled a series of health issues. So to honor Argie’s big day, we’re celebrating in the spirit of the season. Cider and donuts sound good, don’t they? Argus will be here, of course, and Sophie never misses a party, especially if there are refreshments. We hope you’ll join us too.
Argus is a generous fellow, so here’s his gift to you: Stop in anytime between Saturday, October 27th and Thursday, October 31st, make a $50 purchase, and we’ll give you a $10 gift card to use the next time you’re in. Perfect timing for holiday shopping. Happy Birthday, Argie!
It’s going to be another great season at The Laughing Dog, and we look forward to sharing it with you.
